New for this year is what we are calling LINK LiTE! In order to continue our relationship with the graduates of Project Link from both 2008 and 2009, LINK LiTE will be a Saturday morning class that works to extend the curriculum of the four week summer course into a continuing design experience. Running from Saturday, September 19th through Saturday, Novemeber 21st, LINK LiTE will continue our work from the summer into the school year with portfolio development, small design projects and local competition work. This Saturday morning immersion will help reinforce ideas and concepts learned from Project Link, while sustaining the rigor required for a young design student who might not be capable of taking design courses at their own high school. Most importantly, the conversations and work done during these Saturday morning sessions will help each student stay focused while pursuing design education at the collegiate level.
Other activites for this Saturday morning experience will include:
- College application process and student group college discussions
- Student based network for specific college applications and requirements
- Small mixed media based design activites
- Medium sized architectural design problems and design investigations
- Large possible Boston based competition for a design scheme
- Individual one-on-one workshops for portfolio development
LINK LiTE is currently only available to students who have finished the four week summer program and who have the availbility to meet on Saturdays from 9.30-12.30.
