FINAL REVIEW! (29)
A semester can really fly by. Students from EMS came with Miss G to the GSD for their final review and a field trip. They presented their designs to a jury of 5 authentic audience members- Lindsay Chandler Alexander (M.Arch 1 '12), Alicia Taylor (M.Arch 1 '12), Caco Peguero (M.Arch '14), Julian Bushman Copp (M. Arch '12), and Alexis DelVecchio (MLA '12). After the review and pizza party, we walked through the trays, the studio space of the GSD, to see student work as well as demonstrations in the Woodshop and Fabrication Labs. -
MODEL MAKING, COLLAGE, FROTTAGE (11)
Led by Teacher Jutta Friedrichs, students learned composition techniques through collage and frottage (laying paper over a textured surface and rubbing with a pencil to create a pattern of texture on the paper). Students then applied those techniques to a 3D model exercise to make 2 interior spaces. -
